Alan B. Silverstone

How We Began

Alan Silverstone began his wholesale import Christmas ornament business in 1980 after returning from a trip to China. His first ornaments were made from wheat straw and were very popular in department and Christmas stores.

He opened his first Incredible Christmas Store on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco in 1985. He expanded to New York in 1992 when he opened a year round Christmas and gift store in Trump Tower and later in Rockefeller Center.  

After 9/11, he closed the retail business and turned to custom designing ornaments for a number of notable clients , such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art,  the Norman Rockwell Museum, the Forbes Collection of Faberge Eggs, Tavern on the Green, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Fortnum & Mason, NBC Universal, Sea World.

Alan formed Silverstone Design Inc. to pursue his custom designing talents.
