Our Story
Humble Beginnings
After a trip to China, our founder and company president, Alan Silverstone, entered the wholesale import Christmas ornament industry in 1980. The wheat straw ornaments he sold at the time quickly gained popularity in Christmas shops and department stores.
Expansion
In 1985, he opened his own shop, the Incredible Christmas Store, in San Francisco, CA. In 1992, he expanded his business to New York, with year-round Christmas and gift stores in Trump Tower and Rockefeller Center.
The Big Shift
After closing his retail business post-9/11, Alan transitioned to custom designing ornaments and jewelry. He established Silverstone Design Inc. to pursue his passion for custom design and hone his talents.
Finding New Success in a
Different Venture
Since focusing on ornament and jewelry custom design services, Alan has worked with prestigious clients such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bergdorf Goodman, the Forbes Collection of Fabergé Eggs, and Henri Bendel.
